Privacy Policy

Introduction
Typewell is a browser extension that formats text inside the LinkedIn editor. This policy explains exactly what it does and does not do with your data.
Typewell has no server of its own. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
What Typewell stores, and where
Everything Typewell saves stays inside your own browser. It is never sent to us, because we operate no server or analytics of any kind.
| Data | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Your snippets | The reusable text blocks you create, stored via your browser's own extension storage. If browser sync is enabled, your browser (not Typewell) may sync them across your own devices. We never receive them. | In your browser |
| Your preferences | Such as the Pro unlock status and the preview mobile/desktop toggle. | In your browser |
The text you format
Formatting happens entirely on your device. The text you select in the LinkedIn editor is transformed locally and is never read, logged, or transmitted anywhere by Typewell.
Payments
The one-time Pro purchase is handled by ExtensionPay, a third-party service that uses Stripe for payment processing. When you choose to buy or restore Pro, you interact with ExtensionPay's own pages. ExtensionPay processes your email address to manage your license, under its own privacy policy and Stripe's.
Typewell itself only receives a yes/no "paid" status. We do not see or store your payment details.
Permissions
- storage: to save your snippets and preferences in your browser.
- Access to linkedin.com: so the formatting toolbar can work inside the LinkedIn editor. Typewell only runs on LinkedIn.
- Access to extensionpay.com: only to check your Pro license status with ExtensionPay.
No tracking
Typewell contains no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party scripts beyond the ExtensionPay library used for the optional purchase.
